"The series Soup uses various Digital and Analogue techniques gifting new significance to previously made work. I manipulate the natural and modern landscapes to juxtapose and force the imagery into new life, gifting new significance. I rework my photography in printing, cutting, pushing digitally, dissecting, organizing, constructing, layering as the ingredients to the new series, Soup.
For the new work I wanted to digitally push myself out of boundaries working with strictly printed media. Being able to drastically alter and layer images digitally showed a completely different pathway to making what I would consider collage. All of the source material being my scanned 35mm and digital photographic work from the more recent years. "- Clover Duncan
Artist Bio
I am a photographic artist, I am interested in the way scenes can fit together like a puzzle. Deception/Discovery is a big throughline in much of my work. I received my undergraduate from the Santa Fe University of Art and Design. This program instilled much of the analogue mentality toward work making that I still use today. If I can do something in-camera or physically, I will. I live in Santa fe, New Mexico.
