About This Show

​Pyara Ingersoll is a mixed media painter who grew up in Santa Fe, NM and

has been painting for last 14 years. She has been lucky to live in Santa Fe where she is surrounded by amazing art and where there is a plethora of education here from top notch artists from around the world. Over the years she’s studied drawing with masters from Russia, San Francisco, and the mentee of the mentee of Salvador Dali! She’s studied oil still life, mixed media, abstract and portrait painting at the Valdez School of Art,

the Milan Institute of Art ,and Andrea Cermanski Painting Workshops. Her work is a mix of all that she has learned to culminate into a unique and creative style through mixed medias.

 

Artist Statement

"I have a deep passion for and inspiration from the feminine, nature and magical symbolism. Drawing from various techniques I have learned, I explore and create through mixed mediums of charcoal, collage, acrylic and oil paints. I find the abstract and magical symbolism comes through during the process of the painting and brings me on a journey through the subconscious, planetary and cosmic consciousness and weaves its way into my paintings."  - Pyara Ingersoll
